Danya Wright was raised by her grandparents in Orlando, Florida. She met her husband, Sean Wright, in high school. They were inseparable. She followed him all over the world during his Air Force career. Once that ended, she felt like she needed to do something that was hers. She got her degree from UCF and started a small cafe called Eat Wright.

It is located on the beach and very close to Wright's Market. She started this cafe with a $1,000,000 gift from her aunt Shirley and a $9,000,000 small business loan. She started with 1 cafe which grew very rapidly. It was so packed that she quickly opened a second cafe. It wasn't long before a third cafe needed to be opened.

Her husband Sean had applied for a manager position at The Helping Hand. He mentioned that they were looking for several other managers as well and suggested that Danya apply. Why would she need a job? Her company was doing great. But she figured she couldn't pass up the chance at a cushy job with The Helping Hand. She applied and was almost instantly hired.

Danya opened her 4th through 14th cafes in no time. Unfortunately, the cost of land was slowing her expansion. Danya ran the numbers and noticed that they made the most money off beverages. Danya took this information and decided to sell Eat Wright for $60 million. She took that money and opened up The Mermaid Lounge a modern beverage bar serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. The Mermaid Lounge was an instant success and rapidly opened up a total of 15 locations.
